For the past 7 years, the hard-working volunteers of the CFO RoundTable Steering Committees have worked tirelessly to build the best programming for senior financial executives around. This summer alone,  40+ CFOs and other senior financial executives in Boston and NYC met regularly to pour over member feedback, identify the topics that were the most compelling and engaging for their peers, source the expert speakers that CFOs want to hear from, and nail down  the takeaways that would be the most useful in their own professional lives.

The CFO RoundTable NYC A full house at our May 2013 CFO
RoundTable NYC Program, planned
by our CFO NYC Steering Committee

Trust me when I say that it’s no easy feat. Whether you’re a veteran of The CFO RoundTable Steering Committee, or are a new member, you’ll know that our program planning meetings are open sessions for our CFOs, Controllers and other senior financial executives to get out of their comfort zones, think critically about topics that affect them daily, and give back to their own profession through their guidance and hard work.

And while September always comes too soon, we are confident that the diligence and time we gave over the summer will shine through. To all of our Steering Committee members in Boston and NYC, I give my thanks to you for your time, your dedication and your perspective. Without you, there would be no CFO RoundTable.

And what a RoundTable series we have this season. While I know we’re all wishing for one more extra week between now and September, I cannot wait to share with you all of the fantastic events and new opportunities we have on tap for members this season, including:

  • The CFO RoundTable Boston
Over 150+ CFOs attended the CFO
    RoundTable Boston’s 2013 program on
    Ethics, hosted at Bentley University

The CFO RoundTable Boston will make its 7th Annual debut on Wednesday, September 18 with “Healthcare Reform: Practical Strategies To Tackle the PPACA.”  The CFO RoundTable Boston’s 2013 – 2014 season includes the return of a few member favorites, such as Law School for the CFO, The Habits of Highly Effective CFOs, etc., and the introduction of a few new programs, including Executive Compensation Strategies, Capital Markets, and more. Of course, we’re also happy to be bringing back our Annual Members Social in October, our Annual Women’s Leadership Event in Spring 2014, and more.

  • The Controllers RoundTable Boston will make its return this year, with the mission to guide and positively influence the professional lives of the next generation of financial leadership. Membership is open now, and the season officially kicks off on October 9 with “The Controllers Playbook for Impactful Executive Presentations.”
  • The CFO RoundTable Boston Women's Leadership

The CFO RoundTable NYC will make its first annual debut on Thursday, September 19, with “Managing High Growth Businesses: A CFO Discussion.” This chapter is our first entry into a market beyond Boston, and I can’t possibly be more excited for it. We have an amazing CFO Steering Committee and a bevy of programs planned. I encourage you to check out our latest chapter and the fantastic learning and engagement it offers for NYC CFOs.

  • The return of our bi-annual, full-day conference on May 15, 2014. This year, we’ve chosen to focus on the technologies that are changing the face of the finance function, and have panels planned on ERP, cloud computing, data security and big data. We are very close to announcing a few tremendous keynotes, and as always, will have a post-conference event to benefit a local charity in need. Stay tuned for more information soon!
  • New resources to help our members make the most of their membership this year, including Membership Handbooks, a soon-to-be-launched knowledge center on our website, our just-released 2012 – 2013 CFO RoundTable Boston Season Reviewour active, CFO-only LinkedIn group, new advisory and connection programs for members, and more.
  • A host of new sponsors and affiliate partners, both in NYC and Boston, all of whom are dedicated to supporting our mission to positively guide the professional lives of our CFO members.

It’s going to be an amazing year, and I’d love for you to join me and the hundreds of CFOs who have already confirmed their membership for the year. To get started, simply click the button below.
