ERP. Big Data. Mobility and access. Security threats. Just as the world of finance rapidly evolves, so too does the world of technology. And while each offers the other new opportunities for innovation and growth, they also present challenges and hurdles never encountered before.
On May 15, 2014, The CFO RoundTable Boston will present the 2014 CFO Technology Conference, a full-day event built by and for CFOs revealing the challenges and opportunities behind some of the biggest technology concerns of CFOs today.
Featuring keynotes from Brian Halligan, CEO and Co-Founder, HubSpot and Glenda Crisp, SVP and CIO, Corporate Segment Technology Solutions and Dale McErlean, Vice President of Finance, Technology Solutions and Corporate Shared Services, TD Bank Group, our agenda includes:
“Big Data Analytics: Why Should CFOs Care?,” featuring Mark Jaffe, CEO, Prelert, Bruce Reading, CEO, VoltDB and Nilanjana Bhowmik, Partner, Longworth;
“ERP for Strategic Advantage,” featuring Sharon Kaiser, CIO, Abiomed, Michaela Goodwin, VP of Finance, ClickSquared, and Keith Mattioli, Principal, IT Advisory, KPMG;
“The New Tech Democracy: How Employees Are Changing The Mission of IT,” featuring Chuck Goldman, Executive in Residence, Great Hill Partners, Kent Landry, Evangelist, Windstream Hosted Solutions, Scott Maxwell, Founder & Senior Managing Director, OpenView Venture Partners, and David Saul, SVP and Chief Scientist, State Street Corporation;

These panels, built by and for CFOs, will uncover the real-world opportunities for innovation and growth offered by each, as well as offer advice for overcoming the business challenges that they present. We’ll share more information about these panels in the months to come.
Finally, we’re thrilled to end the day with our 3rd CFO Social for a Cause to benefit Birthday Wishes, whose mission is to provide birthday parties to homeless children throughout New England and New York.
Last year alone, they held 18,000 birthday parties for kids in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Long Island, NY. Think about that number for a moment. 18,000 birthday parties. That’s 18,000 kids who have no homes, in just 3 states alone. 18,000 kids who otherwise might not have had the opportunity to celebrate something as simple and cherished as a birthday. We’re thrilled to partner with this organization, and look forward to bringing our CFO community together to do something good.
Over the next few months, we’ll publish more information on our program, including the discussions and topics our panels are planning for our CFOs, new speaker announcements, and more information on our auction for Birthday Wishes.
