The CFO Leadership Council Announces Its Newest Initiative ~ Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
The CFO Leadership Council proudly announces a new initiative, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion! This initiative will bring together members from historically underrepresented groups to discuss issues that are important to them along with educational and networking opportunities.
Our Mission
The CFO Leadership Council champions diversity celebrating race, ethnicity and gender, as well as culture, experience, creativity and ideas. By embracing the value of broad perspectives, we not only cultivate success in our business, but return on our promise of empowering CFOs and their teams.
Along with this new initiative, a new program has been launched called The Ascend Program. The Ascend program is an opportunity for senior financial executives from underrepresented backgrounds to become premium members of The CFO Leadership Council.
At the CFO Leadership Council, we believe that diversity strengthens our community. We have been committed, since inception, to providing an environment in which diversity in all its forms are welcomed and engaged in our organization.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion have always been important to the CFO Leadership Council and its members. The events of 2020 have raised its importance even further to our members and partners, and we have decided to make it a formal part of our mission. We are a small organization, but because we have almost 2,000 members who are senior decision makers, we can make a significant difference in the community. The opportunity exists to create a more inclusive and just society, and we are excited to play a part in this.
Jack McCullough
President, CFO Leadership Council
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion group will provide the same quality programs and networking platforms as The CFO Leadership Council. Members will share their stories and focus on the challenges and successes they experience in their professional lives.
I am honored to take part in the creation of this initiative. Our Advisory Board, team members and I want to create a comfortable and thought-provoking experience for members of all backgrounds to discuss issues that are important to them. I am also grateful to our Advisory Board members for their time and expertise in building this initiative.
