Transition From FP&A to BP&A
Overview
The role of the CFO is rapidly shifting from a strictly financial role to a strategic business partner. CEO’s and Boards look for their CFO to provide analysis and insights that support business strategy and growth decisions. CFO’s need to re-focus their teams to meet these changing expectations. Transitioning from the traditional FP&A approach to a BP&A function is a critical step. FP&A often focuses on budgeting and planning for the short-term, using historical results to drive current year budgets. In contrast, BP&A incorporates business drivers with a greater focus on long-term strategic goals and revenue growth. BP&A partners with businesses to create plans that reflect underlying business processes and market dynamics.
In this interactive session, you will l learn:
• How BP&A can deliver deeper insights and analysis
• Fundamental platform – BP&A vs. FP&A
• How to take the BP&A approach to other areas of Finance, e.g., Treasury, Acctg & Systems
