President & Founder
With the vision of providing world class professional development programs and networking events for chief financial officers, Jack founded The CFO Leadership Council in 2006. Under his leadership, the organization achieved national recognition. Formerly, Jack was the Director of KPMG’s Global Innovation Center, where he worked with early-stage investors, entrepreneurs, CFOs, and other members of the venture community. Prior to KPMG, he served as a CFO for 26 startups, raising more than $200 million in capital. In addition, Jack is a founder of the MIT Sloan CFO Summit, which has been recognized as the world’s most influential conference for financial leaders.
As a former chief financial officer, entrepreneur, and recognized expert on financial matters, Jack can empathize with the challenges that corporate leaders face in growing today’s businesses. In addition to developing a venture capital course for Harvard Business School and MIT Sloan MBA candidates, he has been interviewed by Bloomberg, CNN, and Fox Business Network and quoted by the Wall Street Journal, CFO Magazine, Treasury and Risk Management, the Boston Business Journal, and Business Finance Magazine.
Jack holds an undergraduate degree from Suffolk University and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Vice President of Marketing
Kristin spearheads all of our corporate communication efforts and serves as a resource for developing strong, ethical leadership at all professional levels. She has thrived in a variety of industries – technology, healthcare, finance, and telecom — with client communications always in the forefront. Her most successful initiatives have included the MIT CFO Summit, several re-branding launches, monthly newsletters, and countless trade shows.
Kristin received her BBA from UMASS Amherst’s Isenberg School of Business.
Director of Partner Relations

Karyn specializes in management consulting, strategy, growth, business development, operational excellence for multiple industries and companies, private and public, ranging from start-up to Fortune 500. She is highly accomplished at the art of building lasting relationships
In her current role on the CFOLC executive team, Karyn is working with the thought leaders we partner with to fulfill our mission of empowering CFOs. She is strengthening the relationships we have with our partners, not only for the financial support that they bring, but also for expertise they can bring to our members.
Northeast Regional Director & National Membership Chair
As a leader in the marketing efforts of our northeast region, Angela is an experienced manager who strives to improve and insure overall membership quality. In addition, on a national level, she supports our financial executives with our uniquely designed members-only Problem Solving Forums and Ask The Expert calls.
Angela began her career at Unilever Cosmetics Corporation as a Global Marketing Liaison, where she was responsible for the sales aids and advertising of more than 35 brands. She was also the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Panasonic and, most recently, Manager of Membership Services for FEI.
Angela received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Arts degree in Education at Montclair State University.
Chicago Area Director/Program Chair
As a seasoned executive consultant with more than 35 years of experience in advising chief financial officers and boards, John ensures program quality and innovation for our members on a national level. His areas of expertise include finance strategy and operations, financial reporting improvement, corporate governance and compliance, post-merger integration, and IPO readiness. In addition, John has led large cross-functional and diverse teams, and is effective at leadership coaching and team development.
A former partner in Deloitte’s Finance Transformation practice, he consulted with some of the company’s largest and most complex clients and also served in a leadership role within Deloitte’s CFO Center of Excellence, where he developed an innovative approach to assist new CFOs.
John received his BBA in Accounting and his MBA in Finance from Wayne State University.
Southeast Regional Director
With more than fifteen years of event planning and association management experience, Jennifer oversees the growth of our southeastern chapters. In addition to focusing on communications, database management, and registration, she is a leader in creative production, as well as the distribution of newsletters, invitations, marketing collateral, and email campaigns.
Jennifer launched her career as Communications and Crisis Manager for The Coca-Cola Company, where she was responsible for meeting planning, project management, and risk management . She later founded her own event planning and association management firm, serving a variety of clients, including the Atlanta Chapters of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and International Women’s Forum (IWF).
Jennifer graduated in 1991 from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia with a BBA in Risk Management.
Southwest Regional Director
With more than 19 years of business development experience in the financial services industry, Jeanene’s ability to build a successful brand serves as a great help for us to grow into emerging markets and achieve our initiatives within the southwest territory. Prior to joining The CFO Leadership Council, she was Sales Director for Radius Worldwide, a company specializing in international expansion. In that role, she developed the Texas and Louisiana markets, creating brand awareness, as well as educational events for C-suite executives. Her comfort in connecting with people and building meaningful relationships are strengths that she brings to The CFO Leadership Council.
Jeanene is a 1998 graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Marketing.
Toronto Regional Director
Stuart is the Toronto Regional Director of The CFO Leadership Council, the premier networking and educational forum for senior financial executives – built by CFOs for CFOs with 23 chapters across North America and growing. Stuart and the Toronto team manage membership, sponsorship, events and growth of the Toronto Chapter. Stuart is also Principal at PSI which provides entrepreneurs and small-medium organizations with growth and value strategies. They advise and guide the progress of Strategic Planning, Performance Management, Accounting and Financial Management, Treasury & Cash Management, Project/Critical Event Management and Human Capital to ensure that the actions taken are realistic, achievable, foster long-term development and mitigate risks. Stuart is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer Society for York Region and a Certified CPA Mentor.
Southern California Regional Director
With more than twenty years of marketing and management experience, Stacy oversees the Southern California chapters which include Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. She helped open these chapters over three years ago. Her specialties include providing marketing, communications, and event management while working closely with the steering committees, members, and sponsors to provide timely and relevant programing for CFOs.
Prior to the CFO Leadership Council, Stacy worked in marketing and project management on a wide range of products and services including consumer goods, food/restaurants, cosmetics, toys, stationery, and financial services. An expert in developing overall marketing and brand strategies with a focus on ROI as well as competitive analysis. This experience includes online, social media, print, radio and television advertising.
Stacy has a BBA in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Pacific Northwest Regional Director
Yuliya Popova leads the San Francisco Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest chapters at CFOLC. She manages memberships, sponsorships, events and creative communications at her four chapters. Yuliya is a former TV, print and online journalist and editor with a track record spanning 10 years in international news. Her work has appeared in the New York Times and the BBC, among others. Yuliya is also a seasoned content marketing professional with a footprint in a few Bay Area startups, such as Flipboard, Brigade and Little Passports.
Yuliya has a BA in Management from the International Christian University Vienna-Kyiv and a Postgraduate Diploma in Bi-Media Journalism from Leeds University, U.K.
